Final Research Travel Talk for 2012 -- August 29

On August 29 in the Mann Assembly Room at 4:00 p.m., Huck Travel Award winner Dr.  Christine Garwood will give an overview of her new research project, "'Prophets and Prophecies in Britain and America, c.1750-1920." Her research uses sources from the Arthur O. Lewis Utopia collection of the Eberly Family Special Collections Library.

Dr. Garwood is a  Lecturer in Public History at the University of Hertfordshire UK and author of Flat Earth: The History of an Infamous Idea (2007) and Mid-Victorian Britain (2011). She is currently working on a short book, Museums in Britain: A History, due for publication next year.
