Penn State's Special Collections Library recently conducted its local version of the Society of American Archivists “I Found it in the Archives” contest (http://www.archivists.org).The contest gave researchers an opportunity to submit an essay describing their quest for information within the Special Collections Library. Several superb entries were received and blind-reviewed by an expert panel of judges. The first place winner’s entry will be submitted for the national contest to be judged by the Society of American Archivists.
The Penn State winners will be acknowledged by the University Libraries Dean Barbara Dewey and presented with their prizes by Special Collections Library Head Tim Pyatt at a special ceremony at 2 p.m. on Jan. 18 in Foster Auditorium, 101 Paterno Library. This ceremony is open to the public.

First Place (Recipient of a $100 Barnes and Noble gift card):

Second Place (Recipient of a Penn State fleece jacket):

Third place (Recipient of a copy of the Penn State Press’ "Ice Cream U" with a $10 Berkey Creamery gift card):

Fourth place tie (Recipients will choose either of a copy of "The Nittany Lion: An Illustrated Tale" or "Penn State: Then and Now"):
